Learning to eat, learning to swim

We've had such a good summer! Lots of milestones, most recently with Charlie learning to eat and Nora learning to "swim" (or at least, be okay in the water without having to cling to one of our necks).

Potty Trained!! and other less monumental stuffs

In big news, Nora seems to be more or less potty trained. I'm not yet brave enough to have her out and about in her big girl panties, so since she's still okay in pull-ups (for the time being) I'm rolling with it. I love this picture of her in shirt, princess panties, and chocolate chip drool coming out the sides of her mouth (her reward for potty success).

I did a photo shoot of Nora and Charlie with the letters D, A, D for a Father's Day present for Ben. Overall, it was a 20 minute heart attack for me - no, hold the letter this way - Nora! Nora, look at me - Chaaarlie, Chaarlie, hey big boy - Nora get your hand out of his face! We amazingly ended up with a few good ones.

I like Nora's expression here. This kid has an impressive eye roll ALL READY. Also, Charlie looks less than pleased for some reason.

Aaaand, Charlie's favorite thing to do now is stand. On the floor, on your lap, wherever. Not sit. And definitely not lay down in your arms unless it's sleepy time.

3 Months Old and a trip to the lake

These are pictures from our Saturday trip to Louisville Point Park. It was a beautiful day, and we all wished we could have stayed longer!

Easter Sunday. Can you tell I'm sleep deprived?

Charlie is holding his head up so well now! His baby acne is mostly gone, along with most of the hair on the back of his head. We love that he is starting to recognize us, smiling and cooing much more often. We can already tell that Nora and Charlie love each other - Nora loves to cuddle with him, and he arches way around to track her. I figure the honeymoon will last until Charlie starts getting into her things...

Nora is into a "no pants today" phase. Usually I can persuade her to put on a dress or skirt instead of pants. Sometimes it's just the diaper and a shirt. Or raincoat, as the case may be.
